Programs
Tucked away in the heart of The Hills in Summerlin, Lit’l Scholar Academy’s Summerlin Campus provides a great environment for growing children. Located on 3 acres with four separate buildings and 5 lush playgrounds, programs are offered for children 6 weeks through 12 years of age.
Understanding that every child has specific needs and that each child grows and develops at their own pace, daily curriculum is individualized and implemented through play. Children are evaluated in: Initiative, social relations, creative representation, mathematics, science, movement, music, language, reading and writing.
The Summerlin Campus also provides:
- Programs for children 6 weeks through 12 years
- Full & ½ day schedules
- 3 snacks & lunch daily
- 2 ½ hr. Preschool Achievement
- School-Age Care Before/After School, Breaks and In-Service Days
- Summer Camp
Campus Director
D’Ann Blatt
D’Ann joined the Lit’l Scholar family in 1994 when the Summerlin Academy opened. She oversees the operations for both campuses and is the Infant/Toddler, Preschool and Center Director at the Summerlin Campus. D’Ann has a Child Development Associate professional credential issued by the National Association for the Education of Young Children with an emphasis in preschool environment. D’Ann has been married since 1997 and has two boys, Hunter and Cody.

Mrs. James
Mrs. James joined Lit’l Scholar Academy upon opening in 1995 and is proud to be The Preschool Achievement Teacher for 2 ½-3 year old children. She is also a member of the Safety Committee and a Staff Trainer. Our school wouldn’t be the same without Mrs. James, she is the Preschool Teacher that every child should experience!
